Hematology Slide Stainer / Cytocentrifuge

The Wescor Aerospray Model 7151 is a methanol based hematology stainer. Hematology slides stained using the classic Wright-Giemsa and May-Grünwald methods. Slides are ready for the microscope in minutes.

The Aerospray Hematology Pro automated slide stainer is a necessity to any hematology laboratory because it can be adjusted to a wide range of staining requirements. The run time is short with slides ready for the microscope in five minutes giving superior results. Only fresh reagents are applied to the slides so there is no chance of slide-to-slide cross-contamination between stain cycles. With the addition of the optional Cytopro® Cytocentrifuge Rotor, the Hematology Pro becomes a cytocentrifuge.

Now with automated reagent level monitoring the stainer will warn you when reagent levels are getting low.

How Wescor's Hematology Slide Stainer Works:

Reagents are applied from atomizing spray nozzles onto microscope slides containing the specimens. Staining is rapid and precise. Specimens contact only fresh stain, avoiding specimen cross contamination or contact with contaminated reagents. Fixation can be adjusted to suit individual preferences.

The Wescor staining process for hematology staining involves simultaneous contact by both eosin and thiazin dyes which produces the classic Romanowsky staining patterns with superior, textbook quality results. The thiazin and eosin dyes are loaded separately onto the instrument to correct the reagent stability problems common to mixed stains. These stains are automatically combined and mixed prior to application to produce superior results.

Aerospray offers a versatile selection of 9 different intensities for each of the 4 set programs: Rapid Wright-Giemsa, Wright-Giemsa, May-Grünwald Giemsa, and Custom Stain with simple adjustment routines to tailor the staining to individual preferences. A programmable function is also available for special staining requirements.
